Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Brian’s first play was staged by the National Student Theatre Company and then broadcast on BBC Radio 4 back in the 1990s. This led him to writing for the screen, where Brian began on ITV cop series The Bill and has now written over 60 episodes of British TV, earning BAFTA and Writers’ Guild award nominations.
What’s with the B? When he started off, there was another writer with the same name so Brian uses his middle initial to avoid confusion.
